ABSTRACT
Singh AK,
Misra K., In
silico interactions of curcumin with human papilloma virus 16 E6 protein cancer,
Onl J Vet Res., 23 (3):251-257, 2022. Curcumin (diferuloyl
methane) and its naturally occurring analogs viz. demethoxy,
bis-demethoxy and cyclo-curcumin,
in rhizomes of Curcuma inhibit proliferation of tumor cells. In silico binding
with active sites on HPV E6 protein could be a target to restore tumor suppression
of p53 and apoptosis of infected cells. This protein is 158 amino acids long in
oral and cervical cancers and may inhibit oral and cervical cancer.
