ABSTRACT
Schretter C, Milinkovitch MC., Automated Long Oligo Design on Consensus
Regions of Similar Genomes, Onl J Bioinform.,
6 (1) 99-105, 2005. A method to generate and design a
minimal set of long oligos for micro-arrays
applications was implemented. The tool is useful for evaluating gene expression
in phylogenetically related species with the same micro-array. PYTHON, the
BIOPYTHON library, CLUSTALW and the new OLIGOFAKTORY design application that
allow communications through XML messages were used and source code is
available.
Keywords: bio-python,
source-code, XML, micro-array design.
