ABSTRACT
Gomase VS, Chikhale NJ., In silico prediction of antigenic epitope of
coat protein from soybean dwarf virus, Onl J Bioinform., 1 (19):41-46, 2018. Soybean
dwarf virus (SbDV) cell infection produces structural
and nonstructural proteins in plants. A coat protein is the major protein of
the virion involved in viral attachment, membrane
fusion and host entry. Antigenic epitopes on this protein protect against virus
infection and virus-neutralizing antibodies may be sufficient to impart
immunity. The findings of this report suggest that epitopes RAPRVQLMAVPTVTS;
SDGILKAYHEYKITSILLQFIT, 20-34; 93-114 of coat protein could be sufficient to
induce an immune response. Peptides from sbDV protein
that produce virus-neutralizing epitope(s) may therefore induce sbDV neutralizing antibodies.
